Street Market

Fall 2019

Located in the Kennel-Ellis Studio Building in Eugene, Oregon, the 13th Street Market aims to blend public and private spaces. The first floor of the building is a public area which includes a market, laundromat, and cafe.

The second floor consisted of micro-units and private amenities to residents. Rigorous building analysis and the ability to respond to the existing building style, structure, and fabric was critical due to the history of the Kennel-Ellis Studio Building.

A conceptual design was used to focus on unifying the building, strengthening internal and external connections and supporting the community through innovative use of space.
