Chiara Manhas is a graduate interior design student at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She is currently focusing her research on resilent sports facility design. While pursuing her Masters of Design, she has also utilized her design skills to obtain leadership positions in various campus organizations such as ASID, Dance Marathon, and Architrave (a student-run architectural publication) and the Florida Gator Football Fan Advisory Council.
Prior to attending the University of Florida, Chiara practiced pre-professional classical ballet for 13 years while also traveling to France, Italy, and England. Being invested in the arts from a young age has allowed her to appreciate art and design to a greater extent. Combining her passion for dance and design, she has explored the relationship of human scale and how the body occupies, engages, and moves through spatial compositions. Chiara is also an avid sports fan and can often be found supporting her Florida Gators and various professional teams.
